Marcelo Brozovic

Marcelo Brozovic has been ruled out of Inter’s upcoming match against Fiorentina due to a calf injury.

The 29-year-old Croatian midfielder suffered the issue following the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 win over Liverpool last week and it forced him to miss the 1-1 draw with Torino. He had been training separately at Appiano Gentile this week in order to carefully manage his condition.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Brozovic has now been firmly ruled out of Inter’s match against Fiorentina and he’s also likely to miss out on a call up to the Croatian national team for the upcoming international break.

Croatia have already qualified for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, so his absence is not too serious. It’s likely that Brozovic will be fit in time for the upcoming Derby d’Italia against Juventus on April 3.

Brozovic has made 37 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3105 minutes. In that time, he’s scored one goal and provided two assists.
