Lautaro Martinez ended his drought with the first Serie A Inter goal of 2022 and let out the pent-up rage on the corner flag.
The moment clearly meant a lot to the Argentina international when he broke the dry spell with an angled drive to open the scoring against Salernitana at San Siro.
It came just minutes after he had rattled the crossbar, so El Toro was beginning to wonder if luck really had turned against him.
He failed to find the net in 10 competitive games, since the 2-1 Italian Supercup against Juventus on January 12.
In Serie A, he hadn’t scored since the last time he faced Salernitana on December 17 at the Stadio Arechi.
The goal drought is over for Martínez 💥
