During his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Conte suggested that Tottenham need new signings as his appointment is not enough to help Spurs win.
The Italian tactician signed an 18-month deal with the North London side at the beginning of the month and is reportedly targeting several Serie A players.
Conte is known to be a very demanding coach in terms of recruitment and, during his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, he confirmed that he expects new signings starting from January.

“We have two gaps to fill,” the former Chelsea coach said. “The first is internal: a team adequate to these infrastructures. The second is external: be worthy to the top Premier League clubs.”
Many Serie A stars have been linked with Conte’s Tottenham lately, especially Inter players.

However, Nicolò Barella, Lautaro Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni have recently signed a contract extension with the Serie A champions and Marcelo Brozovic is negotiating a new deal with the Nerazzurri.
According to the latest reports in Italy, Stefan de Vrij could be on his way out of Inter, but the Dutch defender won’t leave San Siro before the end of the season.
Lazio’s Manuel Lazzari is also believed to be on Tottenham’s radars and so is Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso, who has been linked with Juventus, Inter and Roma as well.
