Wales international Ethan Ampadu is in advanced negotiations to join Venezia on loan from Chelsea, while the Lagunari signed Jack De Vries from Philadelphia Union.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal for Ampadu is close to completion, and would be a dry loan without option to buy.
The defender has been on the Chelsea books since 2017, but had loan spells with RB Leipzig and Sheffield United.
He turns 21 next month and was sent off for Wales against Italy during UEFA EURO 2020.
Meanwhile, Venezia have officially signed Jack De Vries on loan from Philadelphia Union, although he will initially play for their Primavera youth team.
They also registered Amin Boudri from AIK and Issa Bah on loan from FC Progres Niederkorn.
Venezia were promoted via the Serie B play-offs over the summer and have so far lost both Serie A games, failing to score a goal and conceding five against Napoli and Udinese.
