Torino are facing a race against time to get Josip Brekalo signed from Wolfsburg and Shkodran Mustafi is in doubt too.
The Serie A transfer deadline is at 19.00 UK time (20.00 local time).
Brekalo had been close to Lazio this summer, but instead Torino agreed terms this morning with Wolfsburg.
The problem is that the 23-year-old Croatia international only landed in Turin late this afternoon and had just over an hour to complete his medical and get the paperwork registered.
He arrived to begin the medical at 17.45 UK time (18.45 local).
It’s a race against time now and we still don’t know if Torino will manage the transfer.
This is a €1m loan deal with option to buy for a further €11m at the end of the season.
According to Corriere Granata, another deadline day signing is also up in the air.
Mustafi could technically sign even after the deadline, as he is a free agent, but Torino need to sell or loan Koffi Djidji first to make way for the German international.
