Hellas Verona are reportedly ready to embrace Eusebio Di Francesco, who seems set to replace Ivan Juric at the Bentegodi.

Sky Sport Italia reports the Gialloblu have decided to hire the former Cagliari coach, and are only formalities away from announcing the appointment.

According to the report, Verona have reached an agreement with Di Francesco over a two-year contract.

The former Sassuolo, Roma and Sampdoria coach was sacked by Cagliari in February, with the Rossoblu sitting 18th in Serie A with only 15 points from 23 rounds.

But the 51-year-old has successful spells with both the Neroverdi and the Giallorossi, as he brought Sassuolo to Serie A in 2012-13 and helped establish the club from Reggio-Emilia in the top flight.

The Neroverdi also sealed a spot in the Europa League with Di Francesco at the help and managed to advance to the group stage.

He was then appointed Roma coach in June 2017, replacing Luciano Spalletti, and La Lupa finished third in Serie A during his first year, but his most famous moment with the Giallorossi came against Barcelona, when Di Francesco’s men overturned a 4-1 defeat and qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2017-18.
