Former Juventus and Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri is in advanced talks with Lazio, reportedly discussing terms and market strategies with the Aquile.

Il Corriere dello Sport claims Sarri seems closer and closer to ending up at the Biancocelesti, who are looking for Simone Inzaghi’s successor.

The newspaper reveals his agent Fali Ramadani was at Formello on Friday evening and yesterday in a meeting with the former Chelsea tactician.

They discussed the market possibilities proposed by sporting director Igli Tare and the terms offered by the Aquile, believed to be a two-year deal.

The report claims Sarri spoke with the President on the phone and Lazio are edging closer to convincing the former Bianconeri coach.

Sarri has been without a job since he left Juventus after 2019-20, when he helped the Old Lady to their ninth consecutive Scudetto.

He returned to Italy after one season at Chelsea, where he picked up the Europa League with the Blues.

However, according to Alfredo Pedullà, Sarri has not discussed economic terms yet as he is still under contract with Juventus until June 2022, although the Old Lady can pay €2.5m to end the deal unilaterally.
