Roma's Lorenzo Pellegrini is expected to be out for around a month, after scans confirmed a new thigh injury.

The midfielder midfielder suffered an injury to his right thigh flexor against Udinese last month, and hasn’t played since.

The 22-year-old appeared to be close to a return, but he suffered a setback and was sent for scans at Villa Stuart.

According to calciomercato.com, Pellegrini has suffered an entirely different injury, this time to the quadriceps in the same leg.

According to calciomercato.com, Pellegrini has suffered an entirely different injury, this time to the quadriceps in the same leg.

That will keep him out for three to four weeks, so the midfielder isn’t expected back until 2019.

He’ll miss games against Cagliari, [Viktoria] Plzen, Genoa, Juventus, Sassuolo and Parma.
