Edin Dzeko was pleased with his Roma debut, and insists he’s not seeking ‘revenge’ on Manchester City.

The Bosnian striker had a dream start to life in Italy, scoring twice and providing an assist as the Giallorossi beat Sevilla 6-2.

“The important thing was to win,” Dzeko told Sky after the match.

“Now we have to stay focused for the start of the League. I liked that there were 4,000 at the airport when I arrived, and tonight there were 35,000 in the stands.”

Dzeko was also asked whether he’d like to meet Manchester City in the Champions League, but insists revenge is not on his mind.

“I’m not looking for revenge, I’ve come here looking for a new adventure. Even though I didn’t play much last season, I’m not looking for personal revenge.

“The Champions League and Serie A are two important goals for us, but now my priority is starting the League well.”
