But a report from Tuttosport claims that the former Sweden international could be open to sign a new deal with the Rossoneri.

Milan are currently nine points behind fourth-placed Atalanta and the directors Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban will have to sit down with the 38-year-old to find an agreement for him to stay put.

Meanwhile, Calciomercato.com reports that Simon Kjaer is close to make his move permanent this summer.

The Denmark international arrived on loan from Sevilla this winter and has already established himself in the Diavolo defence.

The centre-half can be signed for €2.5m, as the report claims that Milan are satisfied with his contribution so far and are ready to keep the former Atalanta defender at the Giuseppe Meazza.
