The English Premier League champions are known to be keen on securing the services of midfielder Jorginho, who has also been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool.

The 26-year-old’s agent claimed last week that reaching an agreement with City ‘would not be a problem’ for his client.

However, The Sun claims that the Partenopei’s asking price of £52m was dismissed as too high by the Etihad Stadium club.

As such, City are said to be considering allowing Zinchenko to leave the club as part of a potential deal.

Napoli are known to be long-term admirers of the Ukrainian and tried to sign him last summer.

Zinchenko went on to make 14 appearances last season as City secured a League and League Cup double, but with Benjamin Mendy set to return to fitness he may find further opportunities limited.
