Inter president Steven Zhang will meet with Simone Inzaghi and his Inter squad after the frustrating 1-0 loss to Bologna, looking to steady the ship after a sluggish stumble.

The Nerazzurri’s title charge last season was derailed by a 2-1 loss to the Rossoblu and the Emilia-Romagna outfit again proved troubling this campaign, throwing a spanner in the works as Inzaghi’s squad fights to finish second in Serie A.

The defeat puts Inter 18 points behind league leaders Napoli and well in the mix in the race for a top four finish, sowing the seeds of doubt for the final 14 games of the season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport details how president Zhang is disappointed by the defeat to Bologna following Inter’s success in the Champions League, so he and the rest of the club’s directors will meet with the players and coaching staff at Appiano Gentile tomorrow.

Whilst Inzaghi is not currently at risk of being dismissed by the Nerazzurri, the club’s management are dejected by the defeat, and want to ensure that it’s not the start of a poor run.
