Reports are growing that Zenit St Petersburg will agree to sell Axel Witsel to Juventus in January.

The Bianconeri had agreed a deal to sign the midfielder in the summer, but the Russian club pulled the plug at the last minute.

It was reported yesterday that Zenit were likely to accept a January offer, as otherwise Witsel will simply move to Turin on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer.

Now Tuttomercatoweb and calciomercato.com are also reporting that a €6m bid is likely to be accepted.

It’s thought Juve also want to bring in another midfielder, as Mario Lemina and Kwadwo Asamoah will go to the Africa Cup of Nations with Gabon and Ghana respectively.
