Walter Zenga ‘rejoiced’ after Crotone’s vital win over Bologna and promised his team will ‘fight until the last day of the season’ to stay up.

A first half goal by Simy gave the Pitagorici just their second victory in 10 Serie A matches, moving them level on points with SPAL in the battle to avoid relegation.

And although Verona’s win over Cagliari meant this afternoon was not quite as profitable for Crotone as it might have been, the Coach insisted he isn’t concerned by rivals’ results.

“I am rejoicing for Crotone’s victory,” a relieved Zenga declared. “I don’t look at what our rivals are doing, that isn’t part of my character.

“I am happy because Crotone played a good match and won. They are three important points for us.

“We will fight until the last day of the season.

“There can’t be too much negativity around, challenges are good. There are more matches to play, there will be others like that until the end of the season.”
