“I like to say that I'm coming back home, that I'm back in a family.

“For me it's not a stepping stone, it's a point in my career of the utmost importance.

“This year some fantastic things have been done at the club, I'm here to improve things and do well.

“A Coach must get used to taking responsibility. The club signs him because they believe that he can take decisions that will help the club.

“We must never forget that. Our decisions must always be for the good of the club.”

Zenga was then asked what his objectives were for the club.

“Hang on a second, I've barely landed!” he joked. “But I'm not here transitionally.

“I have a contract for only one year because I don't want to weigh on anyone's shoulders.

“I want people to understand that I didn't come here looking for a contract.

“I care about working well. If that happens, we'll automatically discuss things anew one year from now.

“It's June 12 now, I don't want to sell false dreams. We must think of our training and our sponsors.

“I see no use in talking about players who are not in our roster.”
