Zenga played 58 times for Italy and has won League titles in Romania and Serbia as a Coach, but his managerial career on home soil has taken him to just Catania, Palermo and Sampdoria with little fanfare.

He is set to replace Davide Nicola, who left Crotone on Wednesday after a falling-out with the club’s board.
