Zdenek Zeman “hopes Luciano Spalletti is the solution” for Roma problems, as he too returns for a second spell.
Rudi Garcia was fired yesterday and Spalletti appointed this morning, taking his first training session since leaving the club in 2009.
“Roma’s situation is normal. They went well the first year under Garcia, the second a bit shaky and the third badly,” Zeman told Sky Sport Italia.

“Now we hope it can go better and I hope Spalletti is the solution. When he left the first time, he was no longer placed in a condition to work, which is also what happened to me.”
Zeman was recalled to the Giallorossi bench by the new American owners, but that comeback did not work out and he was fired before the season ended.
"Of course little has changed since he went away. Roma continue to claim they want to be among the best in the world, yet sell their top players."
There are still several players who worked with Spalletti last time, including captain Francesco Totti.
“The years are adding up for Totti, so we have to see if he is still able to help the team. He remains a player with a different quality to the others,” added Zeman.
