It’s reported the €16m-€18m option will become obligatory once he either plays 10 games or Valencia avoid relegation from La Liga.

“I am very happy and I’m here because I love the fans,” he told the official Valencia website.

“I went to the stadium today and saw the game, the fans were incredible. I saw a good team. It’s not an easy time for the side, but I saw great players with character and I hope to be ready.”

This is Zaza’s second move of the season, as West Ham United sent him back to Juventus before they could activate the option to buy.

“I went through a very difficult period, but I want to prove to the world and to myself what I can do, that I am a player who knows how to play and score goals.

“I am not interested in how well I do personally, as what counts is doing well with the team.”
