Simone Zaza is hoping his goals for Sassuolo will be able to earn him a future shot with Italian giants Juventus.
The Old Lady signed the striker in the summer from Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”5″>Sampdoria for a fee of €3.5m. They then immediately sold 50 per cent of his contract and sporting rights to Sassuolo for €2.5m.
“The Bianconeri own half of my contract and I believe that all players would like to appear for them,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“However, I need to prove that I deserve that shirt by having a great season at Sassuolo.”
Sampdoria had to cash in on the 22-year-old because his contract was set to expire in 2014 and he had turned down the offer of a new contract.
Zaza was a Serie B revelation last season after scoring 18 goals in 35 games during a loan stint at Ascoli.
He will wear the No 10 shirt for the newly promoted Serie A outfit in 2013-14.
