“I am very happy and thank President Urbano Cairo and Toro, because they allowed me to achieve my dream of coming back to Italy,” he told the club website.

“It is what I wanted, it was my dream to return to Italy and I achieved it. Now my priority is to start work with my new teammates and give my contribution to the club.”

It remains to be seen if Coach Walter Mazzarri will decide to play Zaza in Sunday’s Serie A opener against Roma.

The striker will wear shirt number 91.
