“We must not look to any alibis. We’ll analyse where we went wrong, what we did right and use it going forward,” the Juventus striker told Sky Sport Italia.
“We wanted to make a good impression this evening and prove ourselves. Unfortunately it didn’t go well. The effort is always there, but Ireland pushed really hard at the end because they needed the victory to qualify.”
