Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo is due to receive an extraordinary gift later this month, a special edition of the bible directly from Pope Francis.
Zaniolo has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus injury, and was operated on this week.
Zaniolo will receive the gift at an event on January 26 in the Basilica of San Pietro.
This was announced by Monsignor Fisichella, President of the Pontifical Council.
