La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms Al-Hilal are in advanced talks to sign Nicolò Zaniolo, who could become the first Italy international to join the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Turkish media reported on Tuesday that Al-Hilal had offered €120m for four years to the ex-Roma striker.

Journalist Marco Guidi wrote in Wednesday’s printed edition of the pink paper (page 9) that Al-Hilal have made a first verbal offer in the region of €20-30m. Zaniolo has a €35m clause in his contract with Galatasaray.

If Al-Hilal confirm their €120m offer for the player, Zaniolo will likely accept it, the report claims.

Zaniolo joined Galatasaray on a permanent transfer from Roma in February and has scored five goals in 11 appearances with the Turkish giants.

If he joins Al-Hilal, he will become the first Italy international to play in the Saudi Pro League.

Zaniolo said only a few days ago that he’s always been a Juventus fan. The Bianconeri are long time-admirers of the 24-year-old but could miss out on him and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is also destined to move to Saudi Arabia for €40m.
