Nicolò Zaniolo insists ‘team is the most important thing’ ahead of Spain vs. Italy in the Nations League semis and insists he’s ‘happy’ to have joined Galatasaray from Roma in February.

This is his first appearance for the Nazionale since leaving the Giallorossi four months ago. “All things in life have a beginning and an end, that experience had reached an end and I am happy to have changed,” Zaniolo told RAI Sport before kick-off.

“This is important more to reach the Final than a personal matter. If things go the way we hope, then there could be room for personal satisfaction too, but the team is the most important thing.”

This is a new era for Spain too under new coach Luis De La Fuente, who has made quite a few changes. “Spain have quality players who can pass the ball well and cause us problems, but we can trouble them too. We want to reach the Final and lift the trophy,” concluded Zaniolo.

3 thought on “Zaniolo breaks silence after Italy return with message for Roma”
  1. Neither he nor his camp will admit it, but Zaniolo’s move away from AS Roma was ill-timed and ill-advised. I’m almost convinced that with him in the squad, Roma would have done better in Serie A and probably won the Europa League. Now, everyone is a loser, him as well as Roma.
But let it be known that no player should hold a club to ransome!

  2. I agree with you Ayo I think he was going to help the team better and the board should have kept him till the end of the season rather than allow him leave that way

  3. His agent is a legend!

Imagine! A player like zaniolo should be playing in serie B at most ! But instead of that, he playes for national team for 90 mins ! And al the time he is on headlines !
If . If he was actually a good player ! What the agent could really do !
