Paolo Zanetti is satisfied with Venezia‘s performance against Napoli despite a 2-0 defeat: ‘We gave our best.’
“We could have handled the game in a better way, the gap with Napoli is huge and we gave our best. We wanted to hit them on the counter-attack, but we could not do it, the episodes were not favourable too,” Zanetti told DAZN.
“It was a decent performance, we know that we have to do more, but we are at the beginning of our journey and we were missing eight starters who are important to us.
“We knew the game was a difficult one, but I want my players to be brave, so I must accept some mistakes.
“I don’t want to take away certainties from the players just because the opponents intercept the ball a couple of times.
“It’s a calculated risk, which last year brought us advantages. If I realize that it doesn’t bring us advantages, I’m ready to change,” Zanetti concluded.
