Maurizio Zamparini has described the nine clubs refusing to support either Carlo Tavecchio or Demetrio Albertini as FIGC President as ‘a bunch of fools.’

The nine clubs, which include Juventus” data-scaytid=”7″>Juventus, Roma and Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”8″>Fiorentina, released a joint statement expressing their belief that neither candidate is suited to the post.

Speaking to reporters today, the Palermo chief made clear in no uncertain terms his opinion of the stance of the clubs involved.

“I am appalled by the statement they have made,” Zamparini said. “They are a bunch of fools.

“They also tried to include me. Urbano Cairo [Torino President] and Andrea Agnelli [Juve President] telephoned me but I sent them to hell!

“This operation disgusts me, they should be ashamed. Trying to overturn a majority by using power is shameful.”
