Some of the world's best players are being linked with a move to Roma, such as Juventus and Italy international goalkeeper Gigi Buffon.

Speaking to Radio Radio, Zamparini was asked about claims that Pastore could also be in Roma's sights this summer.

"I wouldn't be willing to open negotiations for Pastore's sale with the American consortium," he said.

"Before flying high, Di Benedetto must show who he is and what means he has available to him. Pastore will not move this year even if Chelsea ask me for him.

"Barcelona have already made me an offer. I have replied that he isn't moving this year and that we'll talk again later.

"Pastore is staying with us. We have an agreement with him and his agent at least until a crazy offer arrives, but in Italy there isn't an owner like Roman Abramovich and I don't believe Di Benedetto is one.

"I don't know these Americans. I don't know what group it is. I would have preferred a strong Italian group for Roma."
