Multiple sources claim Milan owner Yonghong Li and his business partner Han Li have been in Italy since Tuesday, but did not visit the club headquarters.

According to Sky Sport Italia and La Repubblica, the patron arrived in Milan on Tuesday, but kept his arrival a secret.

It’s not clear why he would do this, but Yonghong Li has not visited the club headquarters or the team’s training ground.

This is a crunch few weeks for the Rossoneri, who were not offered a settlement agreement by UEFA and therefore risk being thrown out of the Europa League for Financial Fair Play violations.

Yonghong Li also had to provide €10m to increase the capital by Monday to prevent Elliott Management taking over the club and it’s reported he has sent the necessary funds.

There is another deadline looming, as he needs €30m by June 15.

More importantly, Yonghong Li must repay the €380m loan to US hedge fund Elliott Management by October or lose the club.

It’s rumoured there is a battle within the Board of Directors between those who want Yonghong Li to maintain control and others who would prefer Elliott take over and find new investors.
