"I'm just missing a goal," the 35-year-old told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "I'd love to score and celebrate under the Curva.

"The affection of the fans has surprised me. I remember my first game at San Siro when I was given a special welcome.

"There has been an instant feeling between us which has helped me to settle. I never take a break and the fans like that."

The Rossoneri are favourites for the Scudetto after taking a five-point lead at the top of the table, a feat masterminded by boss Massimiliano Allegri.

"The squad has been won over by his mentality," Yepes added. "You know that if you work hard for him then he will give you a chance.

"That's how I got into the side and that is a stimulus for everyone."
