Spanish media claim Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez is out for two weeks with a hamstring strain, so is likely to miss the Champions League match against Milan.

Xavi had already been in doubt for the first leg of their Round of 16 tie, which saw the Rossoneri win 2-0 at San Siro.

He pushed through the pain to play, but has suffered another setback with a new hamstring strain.

According to the latest reports, he will be out of action for approximately two weeks.

It is a real race against time for Xavi, as Barcelona welcome Milan to the Camp Nou on March 12.

Other media sources suggest Barça medical staff have opted to rest him so that he can be declared fit for that second leg.
