But the goalscorer has refused to confirm how fit he actually is ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
“I feel good,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport, “I was happy to get back on the pitch, but disappointed with the result.
“I do not like to give exact numbers and percentages about my condition, but I feel good and want to finish the season strongly.
“I had to fight during my lay-off, but I didn’t have any fear.
“The World Cup? Sure it’s a goal. But I have three games left for Fiorentina, so we’ll have to see after that.”
