Wolfsburg are reportedly prepared to offer €8m for Sassuolo defender Francesco Acerbi.
According to Gazzamercato, director of sport Klaus Allofs has targeted the 28-year-old as a valuable new addition to their squad.
Acerbi is considered a key figure in the Neroverdi defence, but if the €8m offer is accurate, that would make them reconsider.
The centre-back had spells at Genoa, Milan and Chievo, but also needed to take a year out after he was twice diagnosed with testicular cancer.
