According to Tuttosport, Ivan Juric is unwilling to listen to Nottingham Forest and Southampton’s offers and is keen to remain in Serie A, possibly signing a contract extension with Torino.

The Croatian tactician signed a three-year deal with the Granata in 2021, so he has less than 18 months left in his contract at the Stadio Grande Torino.

The Serie A side have already opened negotiations over a contract extension, as confirmed by President Urbano Cairo only a few days ago. “The new contract is ready and we’d be happy to extend, when Ivan wants, he will let me know,” he said, as quoted by Tuttosport.

The Turin-based paper reports Juric is unwilling o listen to offers from the Premier League with Nottingham Forest and Southampton, who had approached the 47-year-old at the end of 2022.

However, according to the report, there’s more than a reason why Juric wants to stay in Serie A, possibly signing a new deal with his current club.

First of all, this is Juric’s best season in Italy’s top flight with the Granata in the race for a European placement. The former winger said a few weeks ago that he has never felt such a solid bond with any other group of players in his career and the signing of Ivan Ilic from Hellas Verona in January proves the club and the coach are finally working in harmony to strengthen the team after tensions from last summer.

Juric also has a solid bond with Italy He moved to the country 22 years ago as a player, living and working in Crotone, Genoa, Milan (for Inter), Palermo, Mantova, Verona and Torino. Tuttosport ensures Juric is unwilling to move to England anytime soon and will soon decide whether to put pen to paper on a new contract with the Granata.
