Monza have made a loan offer to sign Rick Karsdorp from Roma, but according to Sky Sport Italia, Southampton and Bournemouth are also interested in the Dutch defender.

Karsdorp is no longer part of Roma’s plans after Mourinho said in December that he had ‘betrayed’ the team with his attitude in an away 1-1 draw against Sassuolo, urging him to leave in January.

Roma have received a loan offer from Monza, but the newly promoted Serie A side are unwilling to pay his salary entirely. Monza’s offer comes with an obligation to buy at the end of the season and although Roma are only considering a permanent transfer for Karsdorp, an obligation to buy could be a good compromise for the Giallorossi.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Premier League sides Southampton and Bournemouth have also sounded out the player’s availability and surely have the financial resources to cover the defender’s salary.

If they make an offer to buy Karsdorp permanently or on loan until with an obligation to buy, they would beat Adriano Galliani to signing the ex-Feyenoord defender.
