Serie A fans were a little surprised when seeing a VIP box at San Siro for Inter vs. Bologna taken up entirely by drag queens, but there was a very good reason.
The cameras cut to a group of unusual supporters in the stands for the exciting 2-2 draw, as seven drag queens in full make-up, wigs and outfits were cheering on the teams.
It turns out they were invited by Inter’s shirt sponsors Paramount+ to celebrate the new season of the Italian version of the popular worldwide television hit Drag Race.
The show will launch on Paramount+ Italia on October 13.
The special guests got to enjoy a very entertaining game, as Inter were 2-0 up with Francesco Acerbi’s header and a Lautaro Martinez scorcher before Bologna came back for the 2-2 draw with a Riccardo Orsolini penalty and Joshua Zirkzee solo effort.
It means nobody was able to sashay away with all three points.
