Bologna striker Riccardo Orsolini is the most prolific Italian player in Europe’s top 5 leagues in 2023.

As highlighted by Eurosport, the 26-year-old has scored five goals since the start of the year, more than any other Italian player in Europe’s top 5 leagues.

Orsolini is expected to start against Torino on Monday night in the final game of Serie A Round 25.

Overall, the Italian striker has scored seven goals in 21 Serie A appearances in 2022-23.

He could be called up by Italy coach Roberto Mancini for the next international break in March.

The Bologna striker made his senior debut with the Azzurri under Mancio in 2019 and has two goals in two appearances with the national team.

His last international appearance was on November 11 2020 in a friendly against Estonia won 4-0 by the Azzurri with a goal from the 26-year-old. Orsolini’s contract with Bologna expires in June 2024.
