Legendary Italian coach Fabio Capello believes talking to Moise Kean after his red card in RomaJuventus would be useless and compares Milan star Rafael Leao to Kylian Mbappé.

The former Milan and Juventus coach analysed the weekend action in Serie A on Sky Sport Italia.

Juventus forward Moise Kean was given a straight red card at minute 90, only 40 seconds after his introduction from the bench in an eventual 1-0 loss against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

When asked what he’d tell Kean if he was in charge of Juventus, Capello replied: “What do you want to say to him? What he did mean he understood nothing, I’d waste time talking to him.

“This will reduce the respect from his teammates. He had to focus on the game but affected everyone instead. Surely, he knows that too. It’s something that should never happen. Probably, there was a foul before, but the referee didn’t see it and only spotted the reaction.”

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri looked stunned on the touchline and said after the game that the club would fine the striker.

Capello continued his Serie A analysis on Sky Sport Italia by discussing Rafael Leao who will return to action against Tottenham after a one-match ban in the last league game with Fiorentina.

“Sometimes he is not focused, he would run behind an opponent but without the desire of winning the ball back,” noted Capello.

“However, he can be decisive in any game with a goal or an assist. Another important thing is that opponents are worried about him. He is one of the few players in Europe who easily dribbles opponents in one vs. one situations. In terms of pace, he is like Mbappé.”

The Rossoneri will face Tottenham in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday, March 8.

Leao, 23, has scored nine goals in 32 appearances across all competitions this season, including one in the Champions League.
