Juventus have been eliminated from the Champions League round of 16 and sit fourth in the Serie A table, level with Napoli.

They face the Azzurri in a rescheduled fixture at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday, and according to Sportmediaset, Pirlo will be sacked if the Bianconeri lose against the Partenopei.

La Repubblica reported last week Pirlo’s assistant Igor Tudor could be appointed as an interim coach until the end of the season if the former midfielder and Juventus part ways before the end of the campaign.

Massimiliano Allegri has also emerged as an option to replace Pirlo, but the ex-Juventus coach is not on good terms with both Pavel Nedved and Fabio Paratici, who pushed to sack him at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Allegri is still on very good terms with Juventus President Andrea Agnelli, who he met last weekend in Forte dei Marmi.

Sportmediaset reports Juventus fan dream of Zinedine Zidane, but the Real Madrid coach could not join Juventus before the end of the current campaign.

Gian Piero Gasperini, Simone Inzaghi and Luciano Spalletti have emerged as possible replacements for Pirlo, but only starting from the next campaign.
