Divock Origi’s adventure with Milan has gotten off to a rough start after an immediate muscle injury but he’s working hard to return to action.
The 27-year-old Belgian forward has made a handful of cameo appearances following his arrival on a free transfer in the summer, but he’s not yet made a start under Stefano Pioli. After only a few games, Origi was forced to the sidelines with a muscle problem, which pushed him to return to Belgian to consult his national team’s doctors.
As highlighted by Tuttosport, Origi will continue his personalised treatment schedule as he works hard to return to action for Milan. The 27-year-old is pushing to be fit in time for the end of the international break, hoping to be ready for the match against Empoli at the start of October.
His injury has left Pioli in a difficult position, being forced to rely heavily on Olivier Giroud due to the injuries suffered by both Ante Rebic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
