Thiago Motta has ignited dreams at Bologna this season and now top clubs around Europe want to snap up the tactician, so what comes next?

The Rossoblu have been one of the revelations of the term under the Italian-Brazilian coach, flying to fourth in the Serie A table after 26 games, sitting just five points behind third place Milan. The team have only suffered four defeats across the campaign, flying high under Thiago Motta.

In recent months, Thiago Motta has become of the hottest coaches in the European market ahead of next season, with clubs like Milan, Juventus, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain all reportedly interested in hiring him.

Page 18 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Bologna are keen to tie down Thiago Motta to a new contract, but the coach isn’t interested in discussing his future until the end of the season.

The 41-year-old wants to focus exclusively on the fight for European qualification, not wanting distractions until after the conclusion of the action.

Predictably, Bologna fans are desperate for Motta to say and over 4000 have already signed an online petition calling him to stay at the club.
