Former Juventus President Andrea Agnelli has also stepped down as a board member of Exor and Stellantis and will take a break before starting new projects.

Agnelli held his final speech as Juventus’ President in Turin this morning. He spent 13 years at the helm of the club, resigning in November 2022 along with the entire board of directors, including Maurizio Arrivabene and Pavel Nedved.

Agnelli continued to defend the Super League and listed the club’s achievements during his tenure.

In the very last part of his speech, he revealed his plans for the future and clarified his rapport with his cousin John Elkann, CEO of Exor, the holding company with a controlling stake in Juventus.

“Having closed such an important chapter of my career, I want to find a white page which I can handle with passion after a break,” he said.

“I decided to make a step back in the assemblies where I was involved. I did it in agreement with John Elkann, with whom I have a solid bond, with [Exor’s President] Ajay Banga and [Stellantis’ CEO] Carlos Tavares.

“I want to face the future with a white page. It’s crucial to have freedom of thought and face this new part. I am looking forward to starting it.”

Juventus won 19 trophies during Agnelli’s 13-year spell at the club. The Bianconeri also founded their Women’s team during his tenure as well as the second team, now called NextGen, playing in Italy’s third Division. Juventus Women have won the Serie A title five times in a row, while Juventus’ NextGen won a Coppa Italia of Serie C in 2019-20.

  1. I think there’s only one option left for Agnelli. President Super League where there are no relegations or resignations.
