The 30-year-old, Doria’s captain, has made just three appearances for the Nerazzurri which have totalled only 182 minutes of Serie A action.

Reports on Tuesday are suggesting that Palombo will be handed back to the port club, but he’s set to move on should Sampdoria not win promotion back to the top flight.

The rumour mill is suggesting that former club Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”12″>Fiorentina and Palermo are interested in the Italian international.

Doria are currently sixth in the Second Division with five games left to play.
