Italian sports papers confirm West Ham are unwilling to loan Gianluca Scamacca to Roma, but the Giallorossi have been offered more players by the entourage of the Italy international while the search for Tammy Abraham’s replacement continues.

Scamacca had emerged as Roma‘s priority target to replace the England international who suffered a severe knee injury during the last game of the season against Spezia.

Roma director Tiago Pinto met West Ham directors and Scamacca’s agents in London earlier this week, but although the player wants to move to the Stadio Olimpico, the Hammers don’t want to loan him out.

Saturday’s printed edition of Il Corriere dello Sport claims Roma can’t afford a permanent transfer for Scamacca so the Giallorossi are considering different targets. Among them M’Bala Nzola, Roberto Firmino, Wilfried Zaha and Moussa Dembélé.

All the last three strikers are available on free transfers as their contracts expire on June 30.

Roma will continue to keep a close eye on Scamacca especially considering that the player would like to return to Roma and be coached by José Mourinho, claims Corsport.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (page 15) representatives of Stellar Group, who manage Scamacca, have offered Roma some other clients, so talks with the Giallorossi will continue in the coming weeks.
