According to multiple reports from Italy and Spain, Milan are working hard to push a deal through for Samuel Chukwueze by the early stages of next week, which will likely have an affect on the Rossoneri’s pursuit of Japan international Daichi Kamada.

With the arrival of Ruben-Loftus Cheek this summer and with Chukwueze’s signing reported to only be a matter of time, Milan will have used up both slots currently available for non-EU players.

Furthermore, if Milan were to sign Chukwueze, they would no longer be able to offer Kamada a guaranteed position in Stefano Pioli’s starting line-up, given that Chrisitan Pulisic is likely to operate in a central position for Milan.

In midfield, there is now Tijjani Reijnders as well, and up front, Olivier Giroud is still around and Noah Okafor is now expected to sign from RB Salzburg in the coming days.

Confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Milan have decided to go with Chukwueze rather than Kamada, as it is a difficult task tactically to fit them both, as well as Milan’s new signings all into the same team.
