Fiorentina owner Andrea Della Valle says the club are hopeful Juan Cuadrado will stay, despite links to Chelsea.

The Colombian winger has been heavily linked with a move to the English side, with reports this morning indicating he has told the Viola he wants to be allowed to leave.

The Blues are said to have bid around €30m for the 26-year-old, with the Florentine side holding out for his €35m release clause.

“Cuadrado’s future? We’re thinking about the Genoa game,” Della Valle told reporters after last night’s draw with Roma.

“The clause is there, but we set it very high because we want him to stay with us for a long time.

“We’re thinking about Genoa, and that’s what we’ll continue to do.”
