The Napoli squad called for peace as the war in Ukraine continues to rage on, sending a clear anti-war message.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has had a significant impact on the football world, with UEFA and FIFA banning Russian clubs and the national team and the venue of the Champions League final being moved from St Petersburg to Paris.

Napoli made it clear that they’re against hostilities in Ukraine, with all of the players saying “Stop the war” in their native languages. Accompanying the video was a short statement by the club, which read:

“These are dangerous, tragic times and it’s up to us and all of our fans to send out a message of peace. Perhaps it can raise awareness about what is happening and help bring the war to an end.”
