Italy have kickstarted preparations for their coming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and England at their training centre in Coverciano.

Luciano Spalletti has called up 26 players for the October international break and was forced to make some changes after the eighth round of Serie A games, which saw Lazio duo Ivan Provedel and Mattia Zaccagni withdraw through injury.

Italy’s first two games under Spalletti were a draw with North Macedonia and a win over Ukraine, so fans are excited to see how the team will perform in their second round of games under their new coach.

The Azzurri started preparations at Coverciano today, with Juventus star Federico Chiesa not taking part. Napoli’s Giovanni Di Lorenzo watched the training session from the sidelines.
