The Rossoneri effort pokes fun at their intercity rivals’ failure to defend their league title, later unravelling a banner which read: “I’m a champion, you’re a crybaby.” The crying Nerazzurri fan’s shirt displays the phrase ‘CN69’, referencing a specific ultra group in the Curva Nord.
The Inter choreography features a beautiful reference to the famous ‘Il Bacio’ painting by Italian artist Francesco Hayez, accompanied by the phrase: “I only love you.”
Last season ended with only two points separating the intercity rivals, so the results of the two derbies could prove decisive in the title race this season.
