“It was my choice to come here,” Vrsaljko said at his presentation.
“There was an effort on my part and that of the club. It was the right decision, we have the squad to fight to the end.

“When I played at Genoa and Sassuolo there was always talk about Inter. Then I went to Spain, but I wanted to come back to Italy as it really feels like home for me.
“As for Luka, he’s a friend of mine and I really respect him, so I’ve never asked him about private things. He’ll decide what he wants, it’s not right for me to talk about it.”
Vrsaljko was then asked if the Beneamata can win the Scudetto this season.
“I think so, we have experienced players and young players who can fight for their place. We can get a result, but we need luck too.”
