Former Siena and Palermo sporting director Giorgio Perinetti has reflected that Fiorentina goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano’s form may affect his value.

The goalkeeper was sent out to La Viola on an initial season-long loan deal by Perinetti, when he was ds at Palermo.

However, in seeing the player suffer a dip in form, Perinetti has reflected that it may prove to be to the detriment of his parent club, who are believed to value him at €7.5m.

“The goalkeeper is having a crisis. An evaluation on Fiorentina redeeming him permanently will be made later this year, but his price may come down,” commented the currently unemployed director to Radio Blu.

Perinetti was speaking ahead of Viviano’s Fiorentina meeting his former club Siena.

“The derby with La Viola means a great deal to Siena and, after two defeats, the Bianconeri will surely want to make a good impression.

“[Coach Serse] Cosmi’s work, though, should be assessed without the points penalty. On the field the team has picked up 17 points. The technician should not be at risk.”
